Well, let's just say I'm well on my way to becoming an alcoholic. This is essentially a cry for help...so take it like you wanna.

IT'S SNOWING in ALABAMA

On March 1st...

The last time this happened I was 5 years old, but somehow I still remember it...and I want to say it happened again when I was a little older, but maybe not.

But in any event. This is awesome, and it ain't just a few flurries...it is SNOWING out here! It's lovely, and I feel blessed to be witnessing it right now.

Last night, my school's Black Student Awareness Committee put on a stepshow...so you know there were parties and the like going on...so I know a lot of people are missing this because they are sleep and/or hungover.

So yeah...March 1 2009--it snowed in Alabama...

and lol...why my aunties, cousins, and grandma just called me like, "It's snowing in Montgomery!!!!" LOL!! How cute! And it's awesome because my 3 year old cousin gets to witness this just as I did. They say you start developing cognitive memories at age 3, so along with pictures, I doubt this will be a day that Snook will soon forget..

Random Updates on ya girl

While I sit here with a cough and cramps and looking at a few of my old posts, I want to make corrections, or rather changes to some things I previously mentioned in posts last year. There's really just 3 such corrections.

1) I don't have a thing for lite skin anymore (see this post right here) . I'm into chocolate/dark skinned brothers. Guys with hair/dreads are turn ons too... So my " life's devotion to a light-skinned man" is OVER. SOOOOOOORI!

2) The Caramel Zeus from an over-cooked vegetable (see this post) is, well not a caramel zeus, he is not nice or kind. He is rather stuck-up and arrogant. He is decently cute, but not someone I think I could be in a relationship with. He seems to be attracted to airheads and "nut-bucket ass hoes" (Fresh's term). Naw, really, if he is attracted to women, I wouldn't really know. But the girls that seem to be on his shit are hood and/or hoochie. Whatever.

3) I stand corrected. Not even a full year after I made this post, Beyonce' and Jay Z FINALLY got married, and the Creole Queen seems to be taking a much needed break from the lime-light, perhaps to give her lil sister Solange a chance to shine. But don't think she's down for the count, or that she'll be gone for long. With her vocals on Love in the Club Part II, it's clear that she was only warming up. When she does come out of her mini-hiatus, we better be ready for the fury. But for those who could care less about her (as do I), don't worry...she'll be over-exposed within months of her comeback.

SO yeah, I'm done. I need to go take some adv.il. DEUCE!

I tried to tell you.

Just a random thought for today. Remember back in early November when I was trying to tell you about that crush? Remember?

Well, don't say that I didn't tell you/warn you/what have you when things are out in the open and in plain sight. I mean, isn't that what friends are for? And the moment I try to let you in on a significant event/moment of my life, VOLUNTARILY mind you, you shut me out...(denial or jealousy or both?)

Because, CLEARLY you didn't want to SEE it then and chances are you won't want to see it NOW or whenever things come to pass.

So you can try to say I never told you, but the truth of the matter is that I did. You just blew it off. So who's really at fault? At the end of the day, my business is my business. What I choose to keep under wraps is my perogative as it is yours to do the same.

No hard feelings, just reminding you that I mentioned it, and was met with a cold demeanor and a nod...no questions asked. And that was just the beginning. Things are TOO far gone now to even try to explain the complexities of the situation...a situation that will be embarking on the one year mark this fall.

There's nothing to tell, other than I tried to tell you.
